Audio, Video, Music, Sound Design
Strafe is a video game developed by Pixel Titans, and published by Devolver Digital. The game is a love letter to first-person-shooters of the 90s, like Doom and Wolfenstein. I was brought on about a month into the development of the game to provide sounds for the prototype of the game. I stayed on as the sole sound designer, designing hundreds of sounds and providing voice for various enemies and players. I paid special attention to small details while designing the sounds to give each object or character a bit of its own personality.
Throughout the first two years of development, I helped with the implementation of the audio in Unity with C#, eventually transitioning to solely creating assets and mixing in-game audio in the final year of development. I also provided all post-production audio for all promotional trailers and gameplay trailers.
The game can be found on Steam, and the game’s website (also a love letter to 90s websites) can be found here: http://www.strafe1996.com
